1. Fake leather or “pleather” can stain your doll, so you have to use it with caution. I once had a doll that came in a black leather cape, only for me to open it up and find out the entire back of the doll had turned black. It took a couple of weeks to remove the stain.
My Elvis Presley toy also had a leather jacket on. His arms were stained when I rolled up his sleeves. Just be careful out there.
2. Personally, I don’t recommend leaving leather material on your doll for too long.
3. Currently, I recommend lining the dolls with uncolored canvas as I believe this will serve as a good enough blocker. I did this with my PVC bustier.
You risk damaging the PVC/Latex when you use TPE oil on your doll, and this is why you need a barrier. For a photo shoot, I used a PVC hose with a pair of white hose as a barrier. Even though it was only on for the photoshoot, which lasted a few minutes, there was no noticeable damage afterward. However, when I experimented with the PVC without a barrier, I observed the PVC began to crease in a matter of minutes.
1. TPE could get damaged when oversaturated in oil, so apply oil with caution.
2. To improve the lifespan of your doll, it is important to dry the orifices completely after thorough cleaning. If you don’t dry your doll properly, the moisture can create an environment for the growth of bacteria, mold, and microorganisms, which can damage your doll.
It is also important to note that when you are having sex with your doll, scales from your skin keep falling off. These skin scales can serve as food for bacteria and germs if your doll has any due to poor cleaning techniques. Also, since the scales are dead organic material, they will start decaying with time and this can produce an unpleasant smell. At this point, bacteria, germs, other microorganisms, and the dead scales will all be combined to make up “bio mush” in your doll’s orifice.
So, if you are tending to your doll with good hygiene habits, cleaning and drying the orifices completely, you may end up shortening the lifespan of your doll. Also, you can get germs and fall sick when you smear the “bio mush” on your penis during sex. So, cleaning and drying your doll is very important.
1. I recommend using the regular Argo cornstarch for your doll. It is about one or two shades darker than the regular tan. You can only use it when your doll is completely dry. Lightly dust and spread it evenly using a makeup brush. I have noticed visible powder streaks a couple of times after applying Argo cornstarch, but a slightly wet cloth can solve that problem easily.
2. I have a tan for both, but I also use Argo. If I find a visible spot when I am massaging, I use my cornstarch to remove it.
3. I have heard people add cocoa powder to their baby powder to give their dolls darker skin.
4. You can use cocoa powder, too, as long as it is not the sweetened kind.
You can get Premium Renewal Powder here.
1. I have found out it’s best to use moderate-quality cotton makeup swabs and baby oil. Although this will remove any makeup on the doll, it will give you a clear, clean face to look at. You can get rid of the tacky feeling by applying a little powder with a brush after an hour.
2. I use a damp cloth to wipe the face and apply baby oil using a Q-tip or paper towel, which I wrap around my fat finger. Using whatever I have left on the makeup brush, I dust the face lightly to make up for powder/cornstarch.
1. The problem with dark-colored clothing is staining. It is more of a dye problem than fabric. You can crease your doll when you let her put on tight clothes for too long and textured clothing can lead to abrasions. I don’t know much about the downsides of using polyurethane, but TPE oils can damage latex, so apply oils with caution.
2. Personally, I don’t recommend silicone-based clothes or accessories.
3. You should avoid contact with leather, so if you have leather furniture, use a barrier (maybe a towel) to avoid direct contact. Don’t allow the fishnets to be too tight, as they can cut into her skin. If tight clothes give your doll an indentation, it can still go away after a while as long as there is no cut into the skin. Once, I let my doll have on a lace nightie overnight, and by morning, I found out the lace had left marks on her back. The imprints went away after a few hours of letting her lie on her side. You should always use a buffer if you think the material will be harsh on her skin.
4. I recommend lighter colors (white, pink, light blue). If you must dress her in dark-colored clothing, make sure you don’t leave it on her for too long to avoid staining. To reduce the chances of staining your doll, you can soak new clothes in hot water. If the clothing has the ability to stain your doll, you will notice the water will change color after about ten minutes. You can repeat the process until you notice the water is now clear, indicating the clothes can’t stain your doll again.
5. I stay away from wool because it is textured and can cause small abrasions on the TPE surface.
1. I recommend you use Lysol wipes after your doll is dry. I apply powder afterwards and she’s all ready. I haven’t observed any side effects since I started using this four years ago. I make sure I clean her every 2-3 months.
2. Cleaning for me only requires a sponge and warm water. You can also add some soap to the water, but make sure you dry her up completely afterward.
