Water can’t get trapped in a silicone doll; however, water can seep in if the doll has an unseen cut or opening on its body that leads to the skeleton or through the standing foot bolts. For dolls made with TPE, they are porous and absorb water. TPE comes with standing foot bolts; they also do not have seamless heads like those of the silicone dolls. That means water can get trapped in the doll through the head or neck bolt.
Unlike silicone, TPE can absorb water and is also prone to damage from tears. There can be unseen, unnatural openings in the vaginal, anal, or oral cavities, and this can cause water to get trapped in the doll. After bathing your doll, either the silicone or TPE doll, it is important that you dry the doll properly. You can dry your doll using tampons or an aquarium pump with a hose. Sprinkle baby powder or cornstarch on the skin of your TPE doll to properly dry it out. This keeps it moisture-free and dry.
